To those I haven’t described this to, my favorite pastime is watching a category of video called the “Let’s Play,” or LP, where one or more people record themselves playing a game and add commentary where they see fit. (LP’s are also available in screenshot format, found typically in a forum setting.) LP’s abound on YouTube, but organized LP’s are based off forums like Something Awful and the context-specific Let’s Play Forum. A good site to start viewing a few is the Let’s Play Archive, which pulls finished LP’s off Something Awful, since they move posts to a different server that requires paid access to read. For a decentralized approach, go to your favorite video host and search “Let’s Play {game}” or just “Let’s Play.”
